TJ, founder of Peak Resonance, smiling in the autumn woods in Maine, wearing a Peak Resonance hoodie and holding a coffee.

Hi, I'm TJ.

Founder of Peak Resonance. Curious human. Still figuring plenty of shit out.

I've always been fascinated by the human experience.

How we think. What we believe. Why we believe it. How our experiences shape the way we see and move through the world.

I find the exploration of being human endlessly interesting.

Outside of Peak, I'm a husband, a dad, and a guy who loves a good conversation, a good laugh, and occasionally rocking out in the kitchen like there's a sold-out crowd watching.

I hike, fish, forage, and spend time outdoors to rebalance and recharge. I drink my coffee from a mug that says “Manifest that shit” and wear shirts that can be slightly provocative.

How I got here

I left school around 10th grade and ended up building my own education instead, out of books, conversations, my own body, and a whole lot of trial and error.

For a long time, I chased the fix. The next book, the next practice, the next idea that would finally sort me out. I got pretty good at talking about growth. Honestly, better at talking about it than living it.

At first anyway.

I was taking kernels of knowledge and turning them into a performance. Maybe that’s just part of the process, but at some point, I started to realize it was time to stop pretending I'd figured it all out. The knowledge didn’t change, but experience is where I learned what that knowledge meant to me.

What became increasingly clear was that the most meaningful part wasn't finding answers. It was slowly learning to trust myself.

It was learning how to participate in the process. How to sit in discomfort without immediately resolving it. How to let contradiction exist. How to form a relationship with uncertainty. And how to bring what I discovered into the conscious practice of everyday life.

Through it all, I began to recognize something developing that I wasn’t necessarily looking for: a growing capacity to remain intact while revising my understanding of myself and what I was experiencing.

Over the last couple years, I felt a strong urge to build something uniquely mine. I didn’t know what that would look like, but I just kept following it – and Peak Resonance began taking shape.

If you want the long versions, I’ve written them out: The Stream

What interests me most

I'm interested in what happens when people have room to explore their own experience without needing to defend it, justify it, or turn it into something it isn’t.

I love a good question. I love an unexpected perspective. I love those moments when something someone says makes me tilt my head and think, Wait. What the hell was that?

And I genuinely enjoy discovering how differently people can experience the world.

I’ve spent 17 years in credit and collections, which turns out to be a masterclass in how two people can look at the same facts and walk away with completely different stories.

We don't need to agree.

We don't need to arrive at the same conclusions.

Hell, we don't even need to be exploring the same questions.

Sometimes the most interesting part of a conversation is discovering why we see something so differently. And sometimes, we both walk away understanding each other a little better, perfectly content to disagree.

What you can expect from me

I'll ask questions. I'll offer perspectives. I may challenge something you've said, and I welcome you doing the same. I'll bring honesty, integrity, curiosity, grace, and a healthy respect for your agency.

I won't pretend to know what your experience means better than you do.

I don't believe everyone needs fixing, healing, or transforming into some ideal version of themselves.

Sometimes we're navigating something difficult. Sometimes life is going pretty damn well. Sometimes we're simply curious about what else might be available.

There's room for all of it.

My intention is to create opportunities for genuine exploration, where you can engage as deeply or lightly as you choose.

And neither of us needs to know exactly where any of it will lead.

Why Peak Resonance?

Peak grew out of my own exploration, but it isn't intended to be a place where everyone follows my path.

It’s quite the opposite.

Peak Resonance is a space to explore what else might be available, examine how we meet our experiences, and experiment with how we consciously participate in what comes next. Right now, that looks like a few things.

  • ATLAS, a self-guided reflection tool. It takes the signals you share about your experience and reflects them through ancient systems people have used for thousands of years to explore meaning, offering perspectives and personalized prompts to sit with.
  • One-on-one conversations with me that start at The Trailhead, where we can explore what you are currently moving through.
  • Small group experiments that expand the possibilities. Taking shape as I write.

Underneath all of it, it’s a place to reflect, explore, connect, disagree, laugh, discover, and participate.

Not because there's something wrong with who or where we are.

Because there's more to being human than any one of us can experience alone.

Conscious participation doesn’t necessarily change what you do. It may change how you experience what you do.

I'm glad you're here. Let's see where the conversation goes.
