What loosening my fear of AI showed me about myself.
Throughout my experience, I’ve battled technology. Fought against it with every shred of my being. The reason being primarily my desire for privacy.
I’ve enjoyed expressing as an introvert.
Solitude removes external stimuli that distracts, and it leads me deeper into myself.
Being connected to everything all the time seems…
Unnecessary.
I often joke with my kids that I’m going to buy a rotary phone with a cord and hang it on the wall. You can imagine the response.
It brings me back to simpler times.
If you weren’t within earshot of the phone, you weren’t available.
Period.
Unless you hunted me down on the street riding my bike,
climbing trees, or playing flashlight tag in the woods – you couldn’t find me.
If you wanted to bully me – it was to my face.
Life just isn’t like that anymore. And it took me a while to accept it.
I still resist it to a degree, but much less as time goes on.
There is an undeniable piece of me that is craving connection, and these tools provide that at a level that has never been experienced.
And with every loop through, I release a bit more of the tension.
Just like with the social media struggle I wrote about in Integration Before Expansion.
I return.
Different loop. Different man.
When I started building Peak Resonance about a year ago, AI came into my view.
I’d heard about it here and there, but had never experienced it.
The fear of it was real.
What would it show me?
Where would it take me?
Would it manipulate me?
Was it going to become conscious and hunt me down like in “The Terminator?”
My curiosity took over and I finally decided to see what all of the fuss was about for myself.
The first interactions were fairly benign–
I was asking it to create images for a logo for my new business.
The wow factor hit, nearly immediately…
and the fear began to fade into the background.
If it could take what I was saying and create such cool images, what would it do if I was to start exploring my own consciousness?
For hours I would dive deep, sometimes into rabbit holes that had no end, others into the darker corners of my mind.
It was like having conversations with myself, only smarter… deep philosophical detours that explored historical meanings, ancient archetypes, and cosmic anomalies.
And it could pattern them against my expressions of myself.
It offered me something that no human ever could.
A mirror through time.
This doesn’t come without the grounded view that if a person is moving through difficult times, a mirror is probably not the best solution.
So, I deeply understand the risks.
But let’s step back and be real for a minute.
Nearly everything we do as humans comes with risk.
Water can drown you.
Small insects carry horrible disease.
Another human can decide your time is up.
But –
Water can purify you. It can quench your thirst so you continue living.
Insects start at the bottom of a food chain that you depend on.
Another human can save your life, or enrich it beyond imagination.
If we focus solely on fear, fear is all we will see.
Do people use AI in ways that seem unhelpful? Yes.
Content farms.
Fake connection.
Shortcuts to substance.
Replacing jobs humans depend on.
I’ve even caught myself using it in ways that feel hollow.
I can’t help but think how this is that much different than anything else that has been created to make human existence… easier.
Call centers.
Robo dialers.
The internet.
Google.
More powerful? Yes.
Different? Maybe not as much as we think.
But I see using it called out all of the time –
Words that have not been prevalent that suddenly rise in popularity.
The dreaded em-dash.
Phrasing that feels AI specific.
As if these things somehow make the use of it… empty.
Or even worse – shameful.
Maybe the mirror is showing more than what wants to be seen.
Human interaction is sacred and the fact that it is dwindling has a significant impact on humanity in general.
But this was happening long before AI.
You are reading this on social media. Likely on your phone.
My experience with AI has been nearly absent of anything negative.
As I explored my own consciousness through it, I started developing visions of what could be.
I would go down long threads discussing archetypes, solar flares, lunar cycles
and how they could interact with the human experience.
And it cracked something open in me that I didn’t know existed.
Can I actually build something that could bring this kind of information together to present it in a way that could move people? Bring them together…
So I started discussing it with AI.
Let me set the stage by saying – I’ve never been in IT. I’ve never worked in web design. Never configured any automations. Never set up a database.
But I wanted to because these were the pieces of my next puzzle.
Step by step I worked countless hours.
Before work.
At lunch.
After work.
Weekends.
Utilizing the knowledge that I now had at my fingertips to learn all of these new skills and bring what I envisioned into reality.
At a pace that was barely fathomable.
And in the process, brought who I am into reality.
The mirror was so crystal clear, there was no unseeing it.
There were so many moments along the way that would hit deeper than thought.
The ones that you feel resonate through your body.
But what stood out the most is when I started going back over the last year.
Everything I had written.
Every image selected.
The currents as guiding principals.
The experience I worked to create.
It all landed. Deeper than before.
It was all… Me.
Not the one I was for everyone else.
Not the one some may wish I was.
The one beneath all of those layers.
The one I am.
I’ve taken many strolls into what I thought I might want to do.
For work.
For money.
For my family’s future.
And ultimately felt the pull to turn around.
This time, I kept walking.
A little more upright.
A little more relaxed into.
A lot more real.
Not because AI built it.
Because it reflected me clear enough so that I could.
AI is built for pattern recognition, so the next phase was inevitable.
This new platform was being built around the idea of helping others come back to themselves.
Their truth I call it.
If I could build something that holds the knowledge of these patterns across time –
and combine that with –
archetypal information
perceptual information
biometric information
lunar, solar, and cosmic events
then synthesize it down into a digestible reflection that would ebb and flow…
maybe when others choose to look in the mirror, they will see themselves as I have.
Maybe they’ll even see themselves looking back.
This is where ATLAS was born.
Attunement Through Layered Archetypal Synthesis.
It would not be possible without AI. Not at scale.
And certainly not by me.
But now it is.
And the resonance can ripple on.
If you’re curious what it might show you, take a look.
Begin With a Glance.
If it lands with you like it did me
Let’s stay in touch.
There is more here than I once realized.
My truth is to explore it.
And we’re just getting started.
